A fabulous bottle that will look great as a shelf display or as an added extra to your table or tea party setting. This is a substantially thick (.5 cm) glass bottle that I have hand painted and heavily distressed to give an authentically aged appearance.
This bottle has a label which I have montaged with images of Alice, The Mad Hatters Tea Party and the White Rabbit's pocket watch. There is a drink me image included in the montage.
It comes complete with a cork stopper.
Height: 16 cm (6.3 inches)
Width: 6 cm (2.4 inches)
Glass thickness: .5 cm
The 'Drink Me' potion is a magic liquid in Wonderland that has an unusual effect to make the drinker shrink in size.
When Alice finds that she can't fit through the little door to get into the beautiful garden because she is too big, she noticed that a glass bottle with a paper label that says "DRINK ME" tied around it has magically appeared on the table. Alice wonders if it is safe to drink or not, as she thinks to herself, "If one drinks much from a bottle marked "Poison", it is certain to disagree with one, sooner or later." However, the bottle did not have the word 'poison' written on it, so Alice drinks every last drop of the bottle's liquid and finds that it tastes absolutely delicious (it had a flavor of cherry tart, custard, pineapple, roast turkey, toffy, and hot buttered toast, all mixed up). She then finds herself shrinking down to only ten inches high after drinking from the bottle.

My inspiration: Our studio is situated just twenty minutes from the Cheshire village of Daresbury – the birthplace of Lewis Carroll and as such, Alice in Wonderland.
It is our long walks around the village and surrounding countryside with Ruby, our pet dachshund, that have rekindled our childhood love of the Alice in Wonderland books and provided us with the passion and inspiration to produce and share products that reflect his magical world of characters. (We're sure that Ruby still thinks she might see a white rabbit on our walks!)
For authenticity, we keep as close as we can to producing items based upon the original John Tenniel illustrations and attempt to create a vintage look in each piece.
